Privacy Policy

This document explains how Dosifyr handles your information and protects your privacy.

1. Overview

Dosifyr helps you manage medicines, schedules, reminders, and dose history.

The app stores your medication data locally on your device and does not upload this data to Dosifyr servers.

The processing of your information is necessary to provide the services you request within the Dosifyr app. By using the app, you consent to the processing of your personal data strictly for the app’s functionality. Dosifyr does not use your data for advertising or other purposes.

4. Information We Handle

Medication & health-related information (stored locally)

Dosifyr stores the information you enter to make the app work, such as:

  • Medicine details (name, type/form, strength, notes, instructions, optional appearance fields)
  • Schedules (times, specific days, intervals, start/end dates)
  • Reminders configuration (preset, snooze options)
  • Dose history (taken/skipped/missed status, timestamps, quantities, optional notes)
  • Inventory/quantity tracking information (if enabled)
  • Reports/analytics computed from your local dose history

This data is stored in a local database on your device and scoped per user profile.

App Settings (stored locally)

Dosifyr stores settings locally (per user where applicable), such as theme, language, date format, notification preferences, and whether to show medicine names in notifications.

5. Permissions

Dosifyr may request certain OS permissions to provide core functionality:

  • Notifications: to deliver medication reminders and allow actions such as “Snooze” and “Take now”.
  • Background execution / battery optimization guidance (Android): to improve notification reliability.

You can disable notifications in app settings and/or system settings. If notifications are disabled, reminder functionality may not work as intended.

6. Third-Party Services

Dosifyr uses Firebase Remote Config solely to manage app functionality and versioning. No medication or personal health data is sent to Firebase. Any data processed by Firebase is limited to technical information such as app version, device information, and network metadata. Dosifyr does not use Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics.

7. Sharing & Disclosure

Dosifyr does not sell, rent, or share your medication or personal data with third parties. Your data remains on your device and is not uploaded to Dosifyr servers. The only exception is third-party services explicitly used for app functionality, such as Firebase Remote Config and PayPal for donations. Any data processed by these services is limited to the minimum necessary to provide their functionality and is governed by the respective privacy policies of those services.

8. Donations

Dosifyr provides an option to donate via PayPal. When you choose to donate, the app opens an external browser to PayPal’s website. Any personal or payment information you provide during the donation process is handled solely by PayPal and is governed by their privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full. Dosifyr does not receive or store any payment information.

9. Data Retention

All medication, health-related, and app settings data is stored locally on your device. You retain full control over this data and can delete it at any time by removing individual entries, resetting the app settings, or uninstalling the app. Dosifyr does not transmit medication or personal data to any external servers, except as required for third-party services explicitly mentioned in this Privacy Policy.

10. Security

Dosifyr stores all data locally on your device. The security of your data depends on your device protections, such as passcode, biometrics, operating system encryption, and backups. We recommend enabling a secure device lock to protect your data. Dosifyr cannot access your medication or health data directly.

11. Children’s Privacy

Dosifyr is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the European Union) without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal or health-related information through Dosifyr, please contact the data controller at debenez@live.it. Children’s data is stored locally on the device, and Dosifyr does not transmit any medication or personal data to external servers.

Dosifyr is intended for informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice. It is not a substitute for professional healthcare guidance. Always consult your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider regarding your medications and health decisions.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Dosifyr may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Any updates will be reflected in this document, and the “Effective date” at the top of the page will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how your data is handled.
